Minneriya National Park

Minneriya National Park is a famous wildlife park in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. It covers a large area of land, about 8,889 hectares. The heart of the park is the Minneriya Tank, a huge man made lake built by King Mahasen many centuries ago (in the 3rd century AD).
