Angammedilla National Park is a lesser-known wildlife sanctuary in Polonnaruwa, offering a serene escape into nature. Established in 2006, this park was originally a part of the Wasgamuwa National Park and serves as a watershed for Parakrama Samudraya, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous ancient reservoirs.

The park is around 30 km from Polonnaruwa town.

අංගම්මැඩිල්ල ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානය යනු පොළොන්නරුවේ එතරම් ප්‍රසිද්ධ නැති වනජීවී අභයභූමියක් වන අතර එය සොබාදහමට සන්සුන්ව ගැලවීමක් ලබා දෙයි . 2006 දී පිහිටුවන ලද මෙම උද්‍යානය මුලින් වස්ගමුව ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානයේ කොටසක් වූ අතර ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ වඩාත් ප්‍රසිද්ධ පුරාණ ජලාශවලින් එකක් වන පරාක්‍රම සමුද්‍රය සඳහා ජල පෝෂකයක් ලෙස සේවය කරයි.
ඔබ වනජීවීන්, සශ්‍රීක වනාන්තර සහ දර්ශනීය භූ දර්ශන වලට ආදරය කරන්නේ නම් , අංගම්මැඩිල්ල ගවේෂණය කිරීමට කදිම ස්ථානයකි!
🌳 ස්පර්ශ නොකළ ස්වභාවික සුන්දරත්වය – කාර්යබහුල ජාතික වනෝද්‍යාන මෙන් නොව, අංගම්මැඩිල්ල සාමකාමී සහ අපිරිසිදු බැවින් එය අමු ස්වභාවය අත්විඳීමට කදිම ස්ථානයකි .
🐘 වනජීවී හමුවීම් – මෙම උද්‍යානය අලි ඇතුන්, මුවන්, වල් ඌරන්, මී හරකුන් සහ නොපෙනෙන දිවියන් පවා වාසය කරයි ! ඔබට දුර්ලභ පක්ෂීන් සහ උරග විශේෂ ද දැකගත හැකිය .
💦 දිය ඇලි සහ ඇළ දොළ – උද්‍යානය හරහා ගලා යන අඹන් ගංගා ගඟ සහ කුඩා දිය ඇලි නරඹන්නන්ට ප්‍රබෝධමත් වාතාවරණයක් නිර්මාණය කරයි.
🏞 විශ්මයජනක දසුන් – වියළි සදාහරිත වනාන්තර, විවෘත තණබිම් සහ පාෂාණමය කඳු මිශ්‍රණයක් මෙම උද්‍යානයේ දක්නට ලැබෙන අතර , එය ඡායාරූපකරණය සහ දර්ශන නැරඹීම සඳහා කදිම ස්ථානයකි .
✔️ වනජීවී නැරඹීම – අලි ඇතුන්, වඳුරන් සහ අනෙකුත් වන සතුන් ඔවුන්ගේ ස්වභාවික වාසස්ථානවල සිටින බව නිරීක්ෂණය කරන්න .
✔️ ඡායාරූපකරණය – සශ්‍රීක හරිතයන්, ගංගා සහ ඈත කඳු සහිත විශ්මයජනක භූ දර්ශන ග්‍රහණය කරගන්න.

කොළඹ සිට , A1 අධිවේගී මාර්ගයෙන් කුරුණෑගලට ගොස්, පසුව දඹුල්ල සහ පොළොන්නරුවට යන මාර්ගය අනුගමනය කරන්න .
මෙම උද්‍යානය පොළොන්නරුව නගරයේ සිට කිලෝමීටර් 30ක් පමණ දුරින් පිහිටා ඇත.
⚠️ ඇතුල්වීමේ අවසර පත්‍ර – සංචාරය කිරීමට පෙර ඔබට වනජීවී දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවෙන් පූර්ව අවසරය අවශ්‍ය විය හැකිය .
