Unawatuna Beach is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka. It is shaped like a banana with soft golden sand and calm blue water. Located in the southern part of the island, near the city of Galle, it is a perfect spot for anyone who loves the sun, the sea, and a relaxed vibe.

🚌 By Bus: Take any bus heading to Matara or Galle and hop off at the Unawatuna junction.

🚗 By Car: Drive down the Southern Expressway from Colombo; it usually takes about 2 to 2.5 hours.

Visitors can enjoy a very laid-back and happy experience. You can spend your day relaxing on a sunbed with a good book or taking long walks along the shore. In the evening, the beach feels magical with fairy lights and music, making it a great place to meet new people or enjoy a quiet sunset.
