St. Mark’s Church
St. Mark’s Church is a beautiful and historic Anglican church located in the heart of Badulla town, Sri Lanka. It was built in 1857 during the British colonial time. This church is famous not just for its religion, but also for its connection to a very famous historical figure named Major Thomas William Rogers. The building is made in a classic English style and is surrounded by a peaceful garden. In 2008, the government named it a protected monument because of its long history and unique look.

🚗 By Car/Taxi: Badulla is about a 6-7 hour drive from Colombo, or just 1 hour from the tourist town of Ella.
