Located in Battaramulla, near Diyatha Uyana, Ape Gama is a living museum that recreates the charm of an old Sri Lankan village. This unique cultural park lets visitors experience traditional village life, offering a glimpse into local customs, craftsmanship, and rural lifestyles.
Originally known as Battaramulla Janakala Kendraya, this site was a center for local arts and crafts. In 2013, it was transformed into Ape Gama during the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), preserving Sri Lanka’s heritage in an interactive and engaging way.
The peaceful atmosphere of Ape Gama offers a refreshing escape from Colombo’s busy streets, allowing visitors to step back in time and see how life was in rural Sri Lanka.

බත්තරමුල්ලේ දියත උයන අසල පිහිටා ඇති අපේ ගම යනු පැරණි ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ගම්මානයක චමත්කාරය ප්‍රතිනිර්මාණය කරන ජීවමාන කෞතුකාගාරයකි . මෙම අද්විතීය සංස්කෘතික උද්‍යානය අමුත්තන්ට සාම්ප්‍රදායික ගැමි ජීවිතය අත්විඳීමට ඉඩ සලසන අතර දේශීය සිරිත් විරිත්, ශිල්පීය හැකියාවන් සහ ග්‍රාමීය ජීවන රටාවන් පිළිබඳ දර්ශනයක් ලබා දෙයි.
මුලින් බත්තරමුල්ල ජනකලා කේන්ද්‍රය ලෙස හැඳින්වූ මෙම ස්ථානය දේශීය කලා හා අත්කම් සඳහා මධ්‍යස්ථානයක් විය . 2013 දී, පොදුරාජ්‍ය මණ්ඩලීය රාජ්‍ය නායක සමුළුව (CHOGM) අතරතුර , එය අපේ ගම බවට පරිවර්තනය කරන ලද අතර , අන්තර්ක්‍රියාකාරී හා ආකර්ශනීය ආකාරයකින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ උරුමය ආරක්ෂා කරන ලදී .
අපේ ගමෙහි සාමකාමී වාතාවරණය , කොළඹ කාර්යබහුල වීදිවලින් මිදී ප්‍රබෝධමත් අත්දැකීමක් ලබා දෙන අතර , අමුත්තන්ට අතීතයට පිය නඟා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ග්‍රාමීය ජීවිතය කෙබඳුදැයි දැක ගැනීමට ඉඩ සලසයි.
✔️ ගම්මුලාදෑනියා හමුවන්න – සාම්ප්‍රදායික නායක කරුණාරත්න මහගමරාළ , කතන්දර බෙදා ගන්නා අතර ගමේ සිරිත් විරිත් හරහා අමුත්තන්ට මඟ පෙන්වයි.
✔️ සජීවී ඉවුම් පිහුම් නිරූපණ – කාන්තාවන් විවෘත ගින්නක් මත ශ්‍රී ලාංකික රසකැවිලි පිළියෙළ කරන ආකාරය නරඹන්න, පොල් කටු වල ඖෂධීය පාන වර්ග සමඟ පිළිගන්වනු ලැබේ .
✔️ සාම්ප්‍රදායික බෙර වාදනය සහ සංගීතය – ගමේ බෙර වාදකයෙක් තම ආලින්දයේ රිද්මයානුකූල බීට් වාදනය කරමින්, ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ජන සංගීතයෙන් වාතය පුරවයි .
✔️ හස්ත කර්මාන්ත සහ දේශීය නිෂ්පාදන – දක්ෂ ශිල්පීන් විසින් නිර්මාණය කරන ලද අතින් සාදන ලද මැටි භාණ්ඩ, ලී වැඩ සහ වියන ලද භාණ්ඩ සොයා ගන්න.
✔️ කුරුළු නැරඹීම සහ කුඩා සත්වෝද්‍යානය – කුඩා පක්ෂි අභයභූමියක් සහ සත්ව ප්‍රදේශයක් ගමේ ස්වභාවික චමත්කාරය වැඩි කරයි.
✔️ සොබාදහම සහ ගොවිතැන් අත්දැකීම් – පැරණි ගමක මෙන් පොල් ගස්, එළවළු වතු සහ ගස් ගෙවල් පසුකර ඇවිදින්න .
