🚌 By Public Transport: You can take a bus to Ginigathhena from Colombo, Kandy, or Hatton. From the town, you can hire a tuk-tuk to take you to the entrance of the hiking path.

🚶 The Walk: Once you park, you will need to walk for about 1.2 kilometers down a path with many steps to see the falls up close.

⚠️ Swimming Danger: Do not swim in the middle of the pool! It is very deep and has “quicksand” (mud) at the bottom. People have drowned here, so stay near the rocky edges or just look from the platform.

⚠️ Leech Alert: Since it’s a rainforest, there are many leeches. Wear long socks or use lime/salt to keep them away.

⚠️ Good Shoes: The path is steep and can be very slippery when wet. Do not wear flip-flops; wear shoes with a good grip.
