Peessa Ella is a beautiful waterfall hidden in the Badulla District of Sri Lanka. It stands about 45 meters (147 feet) tall. What makes it special is that it never dries up! Even when there is no rain, this waterfall keeps flowing. The water comes from the top of Lunugala Mountain.

The name “Peessa” comes from an old word meaning “gathering place.” Long ago, people believe King Dutugamunu gathered workers here to build important religious sites. It is a quiet and natural place, far away from busy cities.

Turn right at the 22nd Mile Post.

Travel about 6 km down this road to reach the Peessa village.

🚗 Alternative: You can also trek about 1.5 km along the canal path if you like walking.

කෙටි හැඳින්වීමක් පීස්සා ඇල්ල යනු බදුල්ල දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ලුණුගල ප්‍රදේශයේ සැඟවී ඇති ඉතාමත්ම සුන්දර දිය ඇල්ලකි. මෙය උසින් මීටර් 45ක් (අඩි 147ක්) පමණ වේ. මෙම දිය ඇල්ලේ ඇති සුවිශේෂී බව නම්, කොතරම් නියඟයක් ආවද මෙය කිසිදාක නොසිඳී ගලා බැසීමයි. ලුණුගල කඳු මුදුනේ ඇති භූගත ජල මූලාශ්‍රයකින් මෙයට ජලය ලැබේ.

⚠️ පරිසරය රැකගන්න: කරුණාකර පොලිතින්, ප්ලාස්ටික් හෝ වීදුරු බෝතල් එහි දමා නොඑන්න. මේ ලස්සන තැන අනාගතය වෙනුවෙන් රැකගන්න.
