Sangupiddy Bridge

The Sangupiddy Bridge is a very important bridge in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka. It connects the Jaffna Peninsula to the mainland (Kilinochchi area) across the Jaffna Lagoon. Before this bridge was built, people had to take a long route or use a ferry. Now, it serves as a major gateway to Jaffna, saving a lot of travel time. The bridge is famous for its distinctive arch at the entrance.

🚗 From Colombo/Mannar: If you are coming along the coast (via Puttalam and Mannar), you will cross this bridge to enter Jaffna.

⚠️ Check the Road: The A32 road is generally good, but check for current road conditions if you are driving a low car.
