The Ralkuli Bridge is a handy road bridge located in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka, near the town of Kinniya. It is built over a water channel (lagoon area) and helps people travel easily between villages without waiting for ferry boats. It is about 175 meters long and was opened to the public in 2011. It is part of the beautiful A15 highway that runs along the coast.

Even though it is not as famous as the giant Kinniya Bridge nearby, Ralkuli Bridge is a great spot for a quick stop.

The bridge is located on the A15 Highway (Batticaloa-Trincomalee road) in the Trincomalee District.

🚗 From Kinniya: It is very close to Kinniya town. You can take a tuk-tuk or drive towards Muttur.

🚗 From Trincomalee: Drive south on the A15. You will cross the big Kinniya Bridge first, and then you will reach the Ralkuli Bridge a bit later.

රාල්කුලි පාලම යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ නැගෙනහිර පළාතේ, කින්නියා නගරය ආසන්නයේ පිහිටි ඉතා ප්‍රයෝජනවත් පාලමකි. මෙය නිමවා ඇත්තේ කලපුවක් හරහා වන අතර, මේ නිසා ජනතාවට බෝට්ටු එනතෙක් බලා නොසිට පහසුවෙන් ගමන් බිමන් යාමට අවස්ථාව ලැබී ඇත. මීටර් 175ක් පමණ දිග මෙම පාලම 2011 වසරේදී ජනතා අයිතියට පත් කරන ලදී. මෙය මුහුදු වෙරළට සමාන්තරව දිවෙන සුන්දර A15 මාර්ගයේ පිහිටා ඇත.

මෙම පාලම හදන්නට කලින්, ගම්වාසීන්ට එගොඩ මෙගොඩ වීමට පාරු (Ferries) භාවිතා කිරීමට සිදු විය. ඒ සඳහා විශාල කාලයක් ගත විය. ප්‍රංශ රජයේ ආධාර සහ “නැගෙනහිර නවෝදය” ව්‍යාපෘතිය යටතේ මෙය ඉදි කරන ලදී. මෙය ඉතා ශක්තිමත් පාලමක් වන අතර බස් රථ, කාර් සහ ත්‍රිරෝද රථවලට ආරක්ෂිතව සහ ඉක්මනින් ගමන් කළ හැකිය.
