The Gangai Bridge is a beautiful road bridge located in the Trincomalee district in eastern Sri Lanka. It stretches across the Mahaweli River, which is the longest river in the country. The bridge is about 245 meters long and was opened in October 2011. Before this bridge was built, people had to use a ferry to cross the river, which was slow and difficult. Now, it is a very important part of the A15 highway that connects Batticaloa and Trincomalee.
