📅 ස්ථාපිත දිනය: 1969 දෙසැම්බර් 5 දින (වනජීවී අභයභූමියක්) ලෙසත් 1993 ජනවාරි 4 (ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානයක්) ලෙසත් නම් කරන ලදි.
🌊 රැම්සා තෙත්බිම් අඩවිය: 1991 සිට මෙය රැම්සා තෙත්බිමක් ලෙස නම් කරන ලදි: 2005 සිට
🌎2005 සිට යුනෙස්කෝ ජෛවගෝල රක්ෂිතයක් ලෙස හදුන්වන ලදි.

බුන්දල ජාතික වනෝද්‍යානය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පළමු රැම්සා තෙත් බිම, වන අතර එය සංක්‍රමණික පක්ෂි අභයභූමියක් සහ පොහොසත් වනජීවී වාසස්ථානයක් ලෙස සුවිශේෂී කාර්යභාරයක් ඉටු කරයි.

🌊 නොගැඹුරු කලපු පහක්: බුන්දල, ඇඹිලිකල, මලාල, කොහොලන්කල සහ මහලේවාය.
🌱 විවිධ ශාක ජීවිතය: ඇකේශියා පඳුරු, කටු පඳුරු, කඩොලාන සහ ලුණු වලට ඔරොත්තු දෙන ශාක.
🐢 කැස්බෑ විශේෂ සඳහා ආරක්ෂිත වෙරළ තීරයක්: වදවීමේ තර්ජනය ට ලක්වී සිටින මුහුදු කැස්බෑවන් කැදලි තැනීමේ ස්ථානයක් වන මෙය කැස්බෑ විශේෂ සඳහා ආරක්ෂිත වෙරළ තීරයක් ලෙස නම් කල හැක.
🦩 පක්ෂීන්: මහා ෆ්ලෙමින්ගෝ, ස්ටෝක්, හෙරොන් සහ අයිබිස් ඇතුළු විශේෂ 197 කට නිවහන වේ.
🐘 ක්ෂීරපායින්: ආසියානු අලි ඇතුන්, රිලවුන්, වදුරන් දිවියන් සහ හිවලුන්
දැකිය හැකි.
🐍 උරගයින් සහ උභයජීවීන්: හැල කිඹුලන්, ගැට කිඹුලන්, තරු ඉබ්බන් සහ පිඹුරන්.
💧 ජල දූෂණය: වාරිමාර්ග ජලාපවහනය සහ ලුණු නිෂ්පාදන අපද්‍රව්‍ය මගින් බලපෑමට ලක් වේ.
🌿 ආක්‍රමණශීලී විශේෂ: අන්දර සහ කටු පතොක් වලින් තර්ජන ඇතිවී තිබේ.
🌍 සංරක්ෂණ කටයුතු: වාසස්ථාන ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණය, උද්‍යාන මායිම් නැවත වෙන් කිරීම සහ කැස්බෑ ආරක්ෂාව සදහා කටයුතු කල යුතු වේ.
