Dunhinda Falls

Dunhinda Falls is one of the most beautiful and famous waterfalls in Sri Lanka. It is located about 5 kilometers away from Badulla town. The name “Dunhinda” means “Smoky Water” in the local language. This is because the water creates a mist that looks like smoke as it falls down. The waterfall is about 64 meters (210 feet) high and is fed by the Badulu Oya river. To see it, you have to walk through a green forest path for about 1.5 kilometers.
