Ravana Ella is a stunning three-tier waterfall that drops about 25 meters (82 feet). It is located right next to the main road connecting Ella and Wellawaya. The waterfall is famous not just for its beauty but also for its connection to the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana. During the rainy season, the water gushes down with great force, looking like a wide curtain of white foam against the dark rocks.
✅ Legendary History: It is believed that King Ravana hid Princess Sita in a cave behind this waterfall.
✅ Easy Access: You don’t need to hike for hours to see it; it is right by the roadside!

⚠️ No Swimming: Swimming is generally discouraged, especially during the rainy season, as water levels can rise suddenly.
⚠️ Don’t Feed Monkeys: It’s best not to feed the monkeys as they can become aggressive or grab your bags.

ශ්රී ලංකාවේ තියෙන ලස්සනම සහ ජනප්රියම දියඇලි අතරින් රාවණා ඇල්ලට හිමිවන්නේ සුවිශේෂී තැනක්. බණ්ඩාරවෙල – ඇල්ල ප්රධාන පාර අයිනේම පිහිටලා තියෙන මේ දියඇල්ල උසින් මීටර් 25ක් (අඩි 82ක්) විතර වෙනවා. වැසි කාලයට මේ දියඇල්ල හරියට කිරි සුදු පාට රෙදිකඩක් කන්ද උඩ ඉඳන් පහළට දාලා වගේ හරිම ලස්සනට පේනවා.

🚌 බස් එකෙන්: ඇල්ල නගරයේ ඉඳන් වැල්ලවාය පැත්තට යන ඕනෑම බස් එකක විනාඩි 15කින් විතර මෙතැනට යන්න පුළුවන්.
🛺 ත්රීවීල් එකකින්: ඇල්ල නගරයේ ඉඳන් පහසුවෙන්ම ත්රීවීල් එකක් හොයාගන්න පුළුවන්.
🛵 ස්කූටර් එකකින්: සංචාරකයින් ගොඩක් වෙලාවට ස්කූටර් කුලියට අරන් තනියම මේ ස්ථානය බලන්න යනවා.
රාවණා ඇල්ල අසලට ගියපු ගමන් මුලින්ම දැනෙන්නේ ඇඟට දැනෙන සිසිල් හුළඟයි, වතුර පිනි බිඳිතියි. දියඇල්ල කඩා හැලෙන සද්දය හිතට ලොකු සැනසීමක් ගේනවා. රාමායණ කතාවේ එන රාවණා රජු ගැන මතකයන් එක්ක මේ පරිසරය අමුතුම ඓතිහාසික හැඟීමක් ඇති කරනවා.

රාවණා ඇල්ල කියන්නේ ඇල්ල ප්රදේශයේ සංචාරය කරන කෙනෙක් අනිවාර්යයෙන්ම නැරඹිය යුතු තැනක්. ස්වභාවධර්මයේ ලස්සනයි, ඉපැරණි ඉතිහාසයයි එකට මුසු වුණු මේ තැන ඔබේ සංචාරයට අමතක නොවන මතකයක් එකතු කරාවි.
